Online applications are invited for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Efficiency Bar Examinations 2025-II (2026) for officers in the Associated Officer Service Category of the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education.
Ministry of Education EB Exam 2026 – Overview
The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has called for applications for the I, II and III Efficiency Bar Examinations – 2025-II (2026) for eligible officers serving under its Associated Officer Service Category.
The examination will be conducted by the Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka. Applications are accepted only through the official online examination application system.

Examination Fee
First attempt: No examination fee is charged.
Subsequent attempt: Rs. 250 for each subject applied for.
Where a fee is applicable, candidates should make payment only through the payment methods provided through the official online application system.

- Locate the relevant Associated Officer Service Efficiency Bar Examination.
- Download and carefully read the application instructions before completing the application.

Examination Medium
The Efficiency Bar Examination will be conducted in Sinhala and Tamil media only. Candidates should answer all papers in the same selected medium. The selected examination medium cannot be changed later.
Admission Card
Admission cards will be issued online to eligible applicants. Candidates should check the information appearing on the admission card carefully. The candidate's signature on the admission card should be certified by the Head of the Institution or an officer authorized by the Head of the Institution, as required by the Gazette notice.
Identity Documents for the Examination
Candidates are required to establish their identity at the examination centre using an accepted identity document. The Gazette identifies the following documents:
